Competition Terms & Conditions

 ​Fan Art Holiday Card Contest 

  • You must be 16 or over to enter.

  • Cards can feature any major December holidays including, but not limited to, Chanukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, or just be winter themed. 

  • Designs can be hand-drawn, painted, photographed, or digital, but please refrain from using official images taken from the film or Netflix series. 

  • You must submit your entry to thraathon@gmail.com by Sunday 22nd November. 

  • In the email SUBJECT Please put Thraathon Fan Art Holiday Card Entry and then your name ‘e.g ‘Thraathon Fan Art Holiday Card Entry Joe Bloggs’

  • In the email you must include your full name, Address and a social media handle (if you have one and are happy to be tagged)

  • Your image should be 5” x 7 “ ratio.

  • The image may be portrait or landscape.

  • Your entry image must be signed and dated.

  • We would ask that you keep the content family friendly i.e. no swear words, sexual references or nudity.

  • Entries must be the work of the entrant and must not have been posted elsewhere previously.

  • Once your entry has been submitted, Copyright transfers to Thraathon but artist will be credited with their name on the back of every card. 

  • Entries cannot be returned.

  • The results of the competition will be announced on the Thra-athon social media event pages and on our Facebook page, on Sunday 29th November.  

  • Entries should be submitted as a PNG, JPG or JPEG.

  • Please feel free to share your entry on social media, be sure to tag us and use the hashtag #FestiveThraAthon. 

  • Cards will be on sale from Monday 30th November. 

  • Entries not complying with competition rules will be disqualified.

Fan Fiction & Poetry Contest

 

The Theme for this years Fan Fiction & Poetry Contest is to create your own Thra-themed holiday and tell us about it. This can be done in prose or poetry, from a characters point of view or your own. 


    •    You must be 16 or over to enter

    •    You must submit your entry to thraathon@gmail.com by Sunday November 22nd. 
    •    In the email SUBJECT Please put Thra-athon Fan Fiction (or poem) Entry and then your name ‘e.g ‘Thraathon Fan Fiction Entry Joe Bloggs’


    •    In the email you must include your full name, Address and a social media handle (if you have one and are happy to be tagged)


    •    Your Flash Fiction must have a title and can be between 350-500 words long. (The title will not be included in the word count).


    •    We would ask that you keep the content family friendly i.e. no swear words, sexual references or nudity.


    •    Entries must be in English.


    •    Entries must be the work of the entrant and must not have been published or accepted for publication elsewhere.


    •    Copyright of the story remains with the author, but if you use characters and places from The Dark Crystal franchise, they are property of The Jim Henson Company and should not be published or sold. 


    •    1 entry per person & Entries cannot be returned.


    •    The results of the competition will be announced on the Thra-Athon event page and The Great Con-Junction social media page. 


    •    Entries should be submitted as a Microsoft Word Document (.doc or .docx) or PDF (.pdf).


    •    Entries not complying with competition rules will be disqualified.
