Screen Shots
(I took these myself -though it was difficult as the dvd is protected and prevents actual captures even with "print screen" but I HAD to have shots of that gorgeous dress -in the style of Fragonard's painting "The Swing"- as reference to recreate it. Anyhow, I figured I'd take a few more shots while I was at it. If there's a problem with these pictures being up, please let me know and I will remove them. What is the BEST thing about "Slipper"? :: It is unique in that it contains intelligence, creative scripting, and
casting amidsts the fantasy which appeals to all ages.
My Review::

Top 8 Reasons this movie is one of the best musicals of all time:
1) The movie is one the best casted movies I've ever seen
2) Though not as widely popular as other classic musicals, it has the best (intelligent, emotional, creative) songs ever written _I compare to Oliver the Musical and The Wiz. ...Note that this movie was another classic example of the money going into making the movie versus into marketing it. - also note that the songs are born of the legendary Sherman Brothers who also composed for Mary Poppins and MORE! and the songs are as just as deeply mature as those from The Wiz and Oliver.
3) The costumes (color choices and historical accuracy) and settings used are brilliant.
4) The thought and love put into this movie is apparent the moment it begins. You feel right at home.
5) Gemma Craven makes the most charming and convincing Cinderella I've ever seen - And she's gorgeous! Where'd she go off to after this project by the way?
6)It is a retelling of the classic Cinderella story but with an unexpected ending twist with the whole story being uniquely told from the Prince's perspective.
7) The script is so intelligent that you not only cheer it on as it's delivered by the awesome actors, but you roll it around in your head years afterwards.
8) Definitely a treasure to be shared with every life-loving person on the planet!

Loveable website with the text worded charmingly -Only what I would
expect from anything associated with this movie.
Lots of stuff to do and very satisfying to the interested browser, new
fan, or veteran. :) It's a nice place to spend a good portion of the
day.
Just a side note: I originally taped the movie off the Disney Channel a
long time ago. Then I bought it when it finally came out onto video. I
wanted more info on it and wildly search everywhere I could think, but
could find none. Then the DVD came out and of course I had to add that
to my collection being that it came with a heap of stuff I'd been
searching for answers on. I literally cried with happiness when I went
through the special menu. I'm so appreciative that this area was added
to the DVD being that so many fantasy movies come out with nothing on
the DVD but the movie and my disappointment with the possibilities
lacking. Thanks with all my heart to whoever put this DVD together!
